These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of products, services, websites, mobile applications, desktop applications, games, console experiences, online services, digital content, updates, subscriptions, community features, and related features published or operated under the Elseborne, Elseborne Labs, or related brand names.
These Terms apply to all current and future Elseborne products, including but not limited to mobile apps such as Reverie, Out, RoommateOS, future productivity, lifestyle, social, creative, utility, or wellness apps, and any current or future games released on mobile, PC, console, or web platforms.
By downloading, installing, accessing, purchasing, subscribing to, or using any Elseborne product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our products.
1. Who We Are
"Elseborne," "Elseborne Labs," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the developer, publisher, operator, or legal entity responsible for the applicable product under the Elseborne brand.
Elseborne Labs is a developer/publisher brand based in India. If a specific product, store listing, invoice, website, in-app notice, or legal notice identifies a different legal entity, that identified entity will be the relevant service provider for that product.
2. Scope of These Terms
These Terms apply to Elseborne products made available through, or used on, any platform, including:
- Mobile platforms such as Android and iOS;
- PC platforms such as Windows, macOS, Linux, Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, itch.io, or other desktop distribution services;
- Web platforms such as elseborne.com and related subdomains;
- Console platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, or other console ecosystems where applicable;
- Third-party app stores, game stores, subscription platforms, cloud services, payment services, analytics services, authentication services, or social platforms used by our products.
Some products may include additional terms, product-specific notices, community rules, age requirements, subscription terms, beta rules, or privacy notices. If a product-specific term conflicts with these Terms, the product-specific term controls only for that product.
3. Platform Terms Also Apply
When you access Elseborne products through a third-party platform, app store, game store, device, console, operating system, or payment provider, that third party's terms, policies, and rules may also apply.
This may include, without limitation:
- Google Play policies and Google account terms;
- Apple App Store terms and Apple Media Services terms;
- Microsoft, Xbox, and Microsoft Store terms;
- Sony Interactive Entertainment, PlayStation Network, and PlayStation Store terms;
- Nintendo platform terms, where applicable;
- Steam, Epic Games Store, itch.io, or other PC game store terms;
- Payment provider, subscription provider, UPI provider, wallet provider, or banking app terms.
We do not control third-party platform terms. You are responsible for complying with them.
4. Eligibility and Age Requirements
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms under the laws that apply to you.
Unless a specific product states otherwise:
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Elseborne products.
- If you are under the age of majority in your region, you may use our products only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
- Products involving dating, romantic matching, adult social discovery, or similar features may require users to be at least 18 years old.
- Products with console, game, or app-store age ratings may have additional age restrictions.
Parents and guardians are responsible for the activity of minors who use our products through their accounts, devices, purchases, or subscriptions.
5. Accounts and Login
Some Elseborne products may require an account. Accounts may be created using email, third-party login providers, platform accounts, or other supported methods.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current information;
- Keep your login credentials secure;
- Not share your account with unauthorized users;
- Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access;
- Be responsible for activity that occurs through your account, unless caused by our fault.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, product rules, laws, platform rules, or safety requirements.
We are not responsible for account issues caused by third-party login providers, app stores, console networks, device settings, or platform outages.
6. License to Use Elseborne Products
Subject to these Terms and any applicable platform rules, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, access, and use our products for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
- Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, or commercially exploit our products;
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code except where allowed by law;
- Remove copyright, trademark, watermark, attribution, or proprietary notices;
- Use our products to build competing products through scraping, cloning, or unauthorized data extraction;
- Use our products in ways that violate laws, platform rules, or these Terms.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Elseborne and its licensors.
7. Product Updates, Changes, and Availability
We may update, improve, modify, suspend, discontinue, rename, merge, or remove any product, feature, content, subscription, game mode, online service, beta feature, or platform support at any time.
We may release updates to fix bugs, improve performance, comply with platform rules, add or remove features, or address safety/security issues.
Some products may require updates to continue working. If you do not install updates, some features may stop working.
We do not guarantee that any product or feature will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or supported forever.
8. Beta, Early Access, and Experimental Features
Some Elseborne products or features may be released as beta, preview, prototype, limited test, early access, closed test, experimental, or pre-release versions.
Beta or experimental features may:
- Contain bugs or incomplete functionality;
- Change significantly before public release;
- Be removed at any time;
- Have limited support;
- Cause data loss or progress resets;
- Be subject to additional rules.
By using beta or early access features, you understand and accept these risks.
9. User Content
Some products may allow you to create, upload, store, share, publish, send, or display content, including text, images, avatars, profile details, goals, bucket list items, checklists, messages, reviews, comments, rooms, roommate data, game names, screenshots, gameplay content, or other materials ("User Content").
You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to any rights you grant us under these Terms.
By using our products, you grant Elseborne a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, reproduce, transmit, adapt, and use your User Content only as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide and operate the product;
- Sync your content across devices;
- Display content to people you choose to share it with;
- Moderate, secure, and improve our products;
- Provide support;
- Comply with law and platform requirements.
You are responsible for your User Content. You must have the rights needed to upload, use, or share it.
10. User Content Rules
You agree not to upload, create, share, or use User Content that:
- Is illegal, harmful, abusive, threatening, hateful, harassing, defamatory, exploitative, or discriminatory;
- Contains sexual content involving minors or any exploitative content;
- Promotes self-harm, violence, terrorism, extremism, or illegal activity;
- Violates privacy, publicity, intellectual property, or contractual rights;
- Contains malware, spyware, phishing, scams, or deceptive content;
- Impersonates another person, brand, public figure, or organization;
- Contains spam, fake engagement, fake accounts, or automated abuse;
- Violates platform rules, app store policies, game store rules, or community guidelines;
- Misuses reporting, review, messaging, social, dating, or community features.
We may remove User Content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or report content to authorities or platforms when required or appropriate.
11. Community, Social, and Dating Features
Some Elseborne products may include social, messaging, profile, discovery, dating, community, room-sharing, group, multiplayer, or public interaction features.
You agree to use these features respectfully and lawfully.
You must not:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, abuse, dox, exploit, or manipulate others;
- Share private information about others without permission;
- Misrepresent your identity, age, intentions, relationship status, or affiliation;
- Use the product for commercial solicitation, scams, spam, or illegal services;
- Use dating or social features if you do not meet the required age;
- Pressure, coerce, or deceive other users.
We do not guarantee that any match, connection, event, recommendation, friend, roommate, date, message, or interaction will be safe, suitable, accurate, or successful.
You are responsible for your interactions with other people. Use caution when meeting anyone in person. Meet in public places, tell someone you trust, and follow local safety guidance.
12. Roommate, Shared Living, and UPI Settlement Features
Some Elseborne products, such as RoommateOS or similar future apps, may help users track shared expenses, chores, shopping lists, room activities, settlements, roommate stats, or UPI/payment links.
Unless clearly stated otherwise:
- Elseborne does not act as a bank, wallet, money transmitter, payment processor, escrow provider, lender, financial advisor, or settlement authority.
- Elseborne does not hold, transfer, receive, reverse, guarantee, or process roommate-to-roommate payments.
- UPI links, payment app links, QR codes, or payment identifiers are provided only to help users open third-party payment apps.
- Actual payment happens outside Elseborne products through the user's chosen payment provider, bank, wallet, or UPI app.
- Users are responsible for verifying the recipient, amount, UPI ID, payment app, transaction status, and settlement accuracy.
Expense calculations, splits, balances, reminders, and settlement suggestions may be incorrect or incomplete. Users must verify all financial information independently.
13. Wellness, Reflection, Lifestyle, and Productivity Features
Some products may include journaling, bucket list, reflection, mood, reminders, goals, wellness, productivity, planning, or self-improvement features.
These features are for general lifestyle and personal organization purposes only. They are not medical, psychological, therapeutic, financial, legal, or professional advice.
If you need medical, mental health, financial, legal, or emergency help, contact a qualified professional or emergency service.
14. Games, Virtual Items, and Online Gameplay
Some Elseborne products may be games or game-like experiences.
Game products may include:
- Levels, characters, avatars, cosmetics, skins, badges, achievements, trophies, leaderboards, XP, virtual currency, in-game items, downloadable content, multiplayer features, cloud saves, seasonal events, or online services.
Unless a specific product states otherwise:
- Virtual items have no real-world monetary value;
- Virtual items cannot be exchanged for cash, goods, or services outside the product;
- Virtual items are licensed, not sold;
- We may modify, rebalance, remove, or discontinue virtual items, game modes, rewards, or online features;
- Cheating, hacking, exploiting bugs, tampering with game files, using unauthorized mods, bots, automation, or anti-cheat bypass tools is prohibited.
If a game is played on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Steam, Epic Games Store, or any other platform, you must also follow that platform's rules, code of conduct, achievement/trophy rules, online safety rules, and network terms.
15. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Paid Features
Elseborne products may offer paid features, subscriptions, premium plans, in-app purchases, virtual items, downloadable content, early access, gift codes, access codes, or other paid services.
Payment may be processed by app stores, game stores, platform providers, payment gateways, UPI apps, banks, wallet providers, subscription platforms, or other third parties.
You agree that:
- Prices, taxes, billing cycles, renewal terms, and refund rules may depend on the platform or payment provider;
- Subscriptions may automatically renew unless canceled according to the platform's cancellation rules;
- You are responsible for managing subscriptions through the platform where you purchased them;
- We may change pricing or plan features prospectively, where allowed by law;
- Free trials, discounts, gifts, access codes, or promotional offers may have eligibility limits and expiry dates;
- Gift codes or access codes may be revoked if obtained through fraud, abuse, resale, or violation of rules.
Refunds are handled according to the rules of the platform or payment provider used for the purchase, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
16. App Store and Platform Purchases
For purchases made through Apple, Google Play, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Steam, Epic Games Store, or another platform, that platform is generally responsible for billing, payment processing, subscription management, refunds, family sharing, tax collection, and payment dispute handling.
We cannot guarantee that we can directly issue refunds for platform-managed purchases.
If you have a billing issue, you may need to contact the relevant platform provider.
17. Apple-Specific Terms
If you download or use an Elseborne product from the Apple App Store, the following applies to the extent required by Apple:
- These Terms are between you and Elseborne, not Apple.
- Apple is not responsible for the product or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the product.
- If the product fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price where applicable under Apple's rules.
- Apple is not responsible for product claims, intellectual property claims, or legal claims relating to the product.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you.
18. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use our products for illegal, harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or unauthorized purposes;
- Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or damage our systems;
- Bypass security, authentication, rate limits, access controls, subscriptions, paywalls, or platform restrictions;
- Use bots, scripts, scrapers, automation, emulators, modified clients, cheats, exploits, or unauthorized third-party tools;
- Reverse engineer or extract data except where permitted by law;
- Access another user's account or data without permission;
- Misuse support, reporting, review, rating, messaging, or community systems;
- Upload malware, phishing links, harmful files, or malicious code;
- Violate intellectual property, privacy, consumer protection, export control, sanctions, or platform rules.
19. Intellectual Property
Elseborne products, including software, code, design, interfaces, graphics, logos, icons, names, trademarks, artwork, music, sound effects, animations, gameplay systems, characters, levels, text, layouts, features, databases, and documentation, are owned by Elseborne or its licensors.
You may not use the Elseborne name, logo, brand assets, product names, screenshots, artwork, or promotional materials except as allowed by law, platform rules, press guidelines, or written permission.
You may create reasonable personal, non-commercial content such as screenshots, gameplay clips, reviews, or social posts, provided you do not misrepresent ownership, leak confidential/beta content, or violate product/platform rules.
20. Feedback
If you submit ideas, suggestions, bug reports, feature requests, designs, concepts, or feedback, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation.
We are not required to use your feedback, keep it confidential, or pay you for it.
21. Third-Party Services and Links
Elseborne products may integrate with or link to third-party services, including authentication providers, analytics providers, cloud hosting, databases, payment providers, app stores, game platforms, maps, notification services, social platforms, UPI apps, or external websites.
We are not responsible for third-party services, content, policies, outages, errors, fees, or actions.
Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
22. Support
We may provide support through email, help center pages, in-app support, store listing contact information, community channels, or other methods.
Support availability may vary by product, platform, language, region, product stage, purchase status, or technical limitations.

23. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to a product or account if:
- You violate these Terms;
- You violate product-specific rules or platform rules;
- We believe your activity may harm users, our products, our systems, third parties, or the public;
- Required by law, court order, platform provider, payment provider, or security concerns;
- A product or service is discontinued.
You may stop using our products at any time. You may also delete your account or request deletion where supported.
Termination may result in loss of access to accounts, data, virtual items, subscriptions, progress, content, or features, subject to applicable law and platform rules.
24. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elseborne products are provided "as is" and "as available."
We do not guarantee that:
- Products will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or available at all times;
- Bugs, crashes, compatibility issues, or data loss will never occur;
- Social, dating, roommate, wellness, productivity, game, or recommendation features will produce any specific result;
- User-generated content is accurate, safe, lawful, or suitable;
- Third-party services will remain available or compatible;
- Any product will meet your expectations.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
25. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elseborne and its owners, developers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, business opportunity, device use, game progress, virtual items, subscriptions, or personal content.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a product will not exceed the greater of:
- The amount you paid to Elseborne for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the claim; or
- INR 1,000.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those cases, the limitation applies only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
26. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Elseborne and its owners, developers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:
- Your use or misuse of our products;
- Your User Content;
- Your violation of these Terms;
- Your violation of law or third-party rights;
- Your interactions with other users;
- Your financial settlements, UPI payments, roommate disputes, social interactions, or real-world meetings.
This section applies to the maximum extent permitted by law.
27. Export Control and Sanctions
You may not use, download, export, re-export, or access our products in violation of applicable export control, trade, sanctions, or embargo laws.
You represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a resident/national of any country or person restricted by applicable sanctions where such use is prohibited.
28. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to applicable consumer protection laws, courts located in Pune, Maharashtra, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or Elseborne products.
If local consumer law gives you mandatory rights in your country or region, these Terms do not limit those rights.
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to first contact us at contact@elseborne.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
29. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If changes are material, we may provide notice through the website, app, email, store listing, release notes, or other reasonable methods.
The "Last Updated" date shows when these Terms were last revised.
Your continued use of our products after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
