1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Reverie collects, uses, stores, and protects your information.
Reverie is a personal bucket list and dream journal app. It lets you save personal dreams, goals, places, experiences, items, notes, images, settings, and related information.
By using Reverie, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account or sign in, we may collect your email address, display name, authentication identifier, and profile information you choose to provide.
Google Sign-In Information
If you sign in using Google, we may receive basic account information from Google, such as your name, email address, profile picture if provided by Google, and Google account identifier.
We use this only to create, authenticate, and manage your Reverie account.
Reverie does not access your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, contacts, calendar, or other Google services unless explicitly added in the future and clearly disclosed.
Reverie's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will follow applicable Google API Services User Data Policy requirements, including Limited Use requirements where applicable.
Bucket List and Journal Content
We collect the content you create in the app, including bucket item names, item type, status, priority, cost, companion fields, notes, target dates, completion status, created and updated timestamps, and selected item cover images or background images.
Settings and Preferences
We may collect app settings such as selected theme, selected font, selected global background, filter preferences, and account/profile preferences.
Uploaded Images
If you upload images, we store those images so they can be displayed in the app. This may include bucket item cover images, custom global backgrounds, and profile/avatar images if supported.
Device and Technical Information
We may collect limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, and debug the app, such as app version, device type, operating system, crash/error logs if crash reporting is added, authentication/session information, and basic usage events required for app functionality.
If analytics or crash reporting tools are added later, this Privacy Policy should be updated to clearly describe them.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to create and manage your account, authenticate you, save and sync your bucket list items, display your bucket items, notes, images, and settings, provide cloud storage and backup, personalize the app experience, maintain security, fix bugs and improve the app, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Legal Basis / Consent
Where required by applicable law, we rely on your consent, contractual necessity, legitimate interests, or legal obligations to process your information.
For Indian users, we aim to provide clear notice and collect consent where required under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
5. How Your Data Is Stored
Reverie uses cloud backend and storage providers to operate the app.
Your information may be stored on servers operated by our service providers. Depending on the provider's infrastructure, data may be processed or stored outside your country.
6. Supabase
Reverie uses Supabase for user authentication, database storage, storing bucket list items, storing user settings, storing uploaded images, and managing secure access rules.
Supabase has its own privacy practices and legal documents.
7. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only in limited cases: with service providers needed to operate Reverie; if required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request; to protect rights, safety, security, or prevent fraud/abuse; during a business transfer, merger, acquisition, or reorganization, if applicable; or with your consent.
Your bucket list content is intended to be private to your account unless a future sharing feature is added and you choose to use it.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including use of authentication, access controls, and backend security rules.
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
9. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide Reverie, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information where reasonably possible, unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or legitimate operational purposes.
Uploaded images may remain temporarily in backups or storage systems before being fully removed.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, delete your data, withdraw consent, object to certain processing, request information about how your data is used, or file a complaint with a relevant authority.
For requests, contact contact@elseborne.com.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
11. Account and Data Deletion
You may request account or data deletion by contacting contact@elseborne.com.
If the app includes an in-app delete account or clear data feature, you may also use that.
Deleting your account may remove your profile, bucket list items, uploaded images, settings, and related account data.
Some information may remain where required for legal, security, or backup purposes.
12. Children's Privacy
Reverie is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at contact@elseborne.com and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
13. Public Content
Reverie is currently designed as a private personal app. Your bucket items, notes, and uploaded images are not intended to be public.
If future sharing or public profile features are added, this Privacy Policy will be updated and the app will explain what becomes visible before you share it.
14. Marketing
We do not currently use your data for third-party advertising.
If we send service emails, they may include account, security, password reset, or important app-related notices.
If marketing communications are added later, you will be given a way to opt out where required by law.
15. Third-Party Links
Reverie may contain links to third-party websites, services, Terms of Service, Privacy Policy pages, or authentication providers.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Please review their policies before using their services.
16. International Users
If you use Reverie from outside India, your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from your country.
By using Reverie, you understand that your information may be transferred and processed internationally.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If changes are significant, we may notify you through the app, email, or another reasonable method.
Your continued use of Reverie after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
